Tag colors are broken in Mac Finder

Finder > Preferences > Tags

play arround here, you might like me find old tags or tags having no colors or wrong colors... A 2-minute clean up here can fix a lot. It did for me. Good luck.

The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.5 - I would start there.

On Ventura 13.5, the Finder Tag in the Finder Window sidebar is the same color of purple as the tag on files bearing this particular tag — whether a custom tag name or the original Purple name. Has been that way for me across all prior releases of macOS dating back years.

Visit the Finder Settings : Tags panel. What color is the Tag name that is shown as Gray in the sidebar when shown in that Finder Tags settings panel? Is it fully checked on the right column?
