By that I assume you mean just standard iOS 16.3.1, no installed apps.
OK, only 2 things you can do:
Reset the router to factory settings, usually with a pin in a little hole for 10 seconds, and
iphone, Settings, General, Transfer or reset iohine, Reset, Reset network settings.
If that has no effect contact Apple Support to have it diagnosed.

Or Click here > Contact - Official Apple Support
There might be some benefit in backing up (which you will need to do if the phone needs looking at) then restoring to factory settings and restoring the backup.

See my reply above yours regarding profiles.
After that there's a progressive hierarchy of things you can try
First thing I advise is to try a Forced restart
Force restart iPhone – Apple Support (UK)
If no better you could Backup, restore to factory, then restore from the backup:-
If necessary set up without restoring backup and test at that point, erase again, then restore from the backup:-
(If the phone needs attention you will have to do this anyway)
(If you can import your media to Photos or iTunes in a computer and copy important documents to a cloud server it will give you some resilience in case the restore from backup fails, or you need to ditch the backup and start as new.)

Anything other than Screen or Battery may be a replacement phone and the price is in the article under "Other damage"

It would be unusual these days.

Also strange is that when i turn off the wifi on my iPhone and move to 4G this speeds things up greatly. I have started to wonder whether my ISP is slowing down my connection, but don’t know why this could just be the iPhone as other devices work much better? Could they do this?
Hi, I’m having exactly the same issue with my IPhone 8S. My iPad works fine, but at home, only certain webpages will load.
I have reset my Wi-Fi router, reset network settings on my phone, removed all browsing history and cookies, there is no VPN activated.
i have tried just about everything, but can’t seem to solve the problem
The router has been re-started and reset several times over the last few weeks. I have just tried the “Reset network settings” on my iPhone and re-connected to wifi and this has speeded things up again. Thanks
Hi, thanks so much for your help and advice, it’s much appreciated. I’ll go and try the things you’ve listed.
I didn’t receive any notification for your reply. I’ve had to log back into the forum to find out.
Thanks again for your detailed help and advice
Are you running security or VPN apps?
I’m not running a VPN or anti-virus software. Just the normal Apple security.
You're very welcome hope it continues.
PS we have been having forum problems. Did either of you get a notification email about my replies?
Thank you.
You're very welcome.
Thank you, we don't get emsils from Using iPhone section either, but I had an idea that the original Authors might. We'll see...
