iphone xr slow on wifi but fast on 4g

My phone is incredibly slow on Wifi, to the point that it doesn't work. If i use it purely on my phone network then it works perfectly fine. Other devices work fine on my Wifi, like iPads, amazon tablets, Sky etc but my phone is very slow. If i soft reset then it works for a few minutes before getting painfully slow again. Is there a way of working out what is causing my phone to be so slow on Wifi? Maybe an app or a setting needs deleted/changed...

If you are using an active VPN on your iPhone, try disabling it. Pull the Control Center down from the top right corner, if you can see a VPN icon next to your Carrier, go to Settings and disable VPN.

Also check if Low Data Mode is enabled. Go to:

Settings → Wi-Fi, tap on your network and check if the function is active. If yes, disable.

Also try, quite simply, just restarting your iPhone. At the same time, try restarting your router as well.

hi, cheers for the answer. Im not using a VPN or low data mode.

If restart my phone it tends to be ok for a short while then gets really slow again.

Will "Private Wifi Address" and "Limit IP Address Tracking" have any effect on wifi speed?
