Kensington Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball software won't install

Kensington Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball software won't install. Spoke with maker & they believe Apple is blocking. Using Ventura 13.2.1 on my MBP. Checked Privacy & Security & nothing is out of place. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.2

I finally got it to work. It seems that I had not allowed install somewhere in my system’s privacy and security. Sorry I can’t remember exactly which one now but that got the ball rolling. Then the insulation hung up writing scripts wouldn’t allow me to shut down. So I let it run overnight and even though it still wasn’t 100% successful, it got me to the next stage with a couple of force quits. I was able to shut down logon and see if it installed properly. One thing I noticed is that “Kensingtonworks .app”. You see the space? Very strange.

I have another issue now. Because the dongle is USB size and not see connector size, it’s not recognizing the track ball. However, I’m still able to use the track ball as a mouse. Very confusing. I think Kensington still has a lot of work to do.

The very last step, summary, it says “an error occurred during installation” at the top, and then it says “the installation failed.” “The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail contact the software manufacturer for assistance.” There are different versions of the software. They sent me a special one. That too would not install.
