Edited note in message app on Mac showing in spanish

The edited notes on my Mac are showing in Spanish as "editado como" instead of "edited to" or simply the blue "edited" beneath the message. I've checked all settings on both phone and Mac. Everything else is in English. Mac is fully upgraded (v. 13.2.1). How do I change it to show in English?

Hey AnnieL2,

Thanks for the reply.

This isn't in my notes app, it's in my messages app and the edit was done by someone else, but yes, my messages are synced across my devices. On my iPhone, the edit shows up appropriately with the blue "edited" text beneath the message like so:

I had this person privately message me (the other is a group chat) and we both edited a text to see how it would appear and I'm getting the following:

It's showing in English on the edit I made and his edit is now appearing on my Mac with the "edited" text underneath instead of the "editado como" like before. Completely baffled.

Greetings katydid_026,

Operating with the thought that your notes are syncing via iCloud to your iPhone, does the Edited message show in English in the same note on your iPhone? Are the notes shared or ones you have created and maintained?

We’d next like to have you begin a new note. Then save it and edit it. Does the same thing happen? Write and format notes on Mac

Write a new note
Siri: Say something like: “Create a note.” Learn how to use Siri.

1. In the Notes app on your Mac, in the sidebar, click the folder where you want to put the note.
If you don’t see the sidebar: Choose View > Show Folders.
2. Click the New Note button in the toolbar (or use the Touch Bar).
3. Type your note. You can use typing suggestions, if available.
The first line of the note becomes the note’s title. You can change how the first line is formatted in Notes settings.
Your note saves automatically as you work.

Thanks.
