How do you create multiple group chat message threads with the same ppl?

If I want to have multiple message threads with my two sisters about different topics (all iPhones) how do I do that? It always puts it into the same thread? I want one regular chat thread that we always have and one about baby shower planning so that one can be muted by my sisters while they’re at work where we can post ideas to whenever we get them.

Hi lindsey2201,

You can create a group thread titled "Baby Shower Planning" and another one titled anything you want for everyday use.

Name a group text message on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

1) Open the group iMessage
Tap the group icons at the top of the message thread. If you have iOS 14 or earlier, tap the icons at the top of the thread, then tap the info button.

2) Tap Change Name and Photo
The Change Name and Photo option is in blue text under the group icons and names of the people on the thread.
Remember, you can name group iMessages, but not SMS/MMS group messages. To name a group text message, everyone needs to be using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

3)Add a name and photo for the group
After you enter the name for the group, tap the Camera button to take a photo. Or select a photo that you already have. You can also choose an emoji or Memoji for your group photo.
When you’re finished, tap Done.

Send a group text message on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

1) Open Messages and tap the Compose button .
2) Enter the names or tap the Add button add contact to add people from your contacts.
3) Type your message, then tap the Send button send icon.

To send a group MMS message on an iPhone, make sure MMS Messaging is turned on. Go to Settings > Messages and turn on MMS Messaging. If you don’t see an option to turn on MMS Messaging or Group Messaging, contact your carrier to see if your plan supports Group MMS Messaging.

With iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, photos, links, and other content that are sent within the group message will appear in the Shared with You section of the corresponding content apps. If you don't want to see the photos and other content in Shared with You, go to the group message, tap the top of the thread, then turn off Show in Shared with You.

Once you've created your group text message threads and have labeled them, we recommend that you pin each thread so that you can have easy access to them. To learn how to pin a thread, follow the steps in the link below in the section titled "Pin a conversation."

Keep track of conversations in Messages on iPhone - Apple Support

Pin a conversation
You can pin specific conversations to the top of the Messages list so the people you contact most always come first in the list.
Do any of the following:
Swipe right on a conversation, then tap the Pin button.
Touch and hold a conversation, then drag it to the top of the list.

Please let us know the outcome after giving the above steps a try.
