yeah, so when I try to crossfade songs on apple music it won't work. I tried restarting my mac and turning off special audio like Dolby Atmos and Lossless audio and it wouldn't work. Is this a problem or a bug fix?

When I use my macbook speakers as output, crossfade does work. It doesn't when I use my Airpods Pro, Airpods Max, or Homepod, as output. This is the first time I encountered this issue too.

Compare behaviour using the AirPods and using the speakers. Pretty sure it will be different. I think that with AirPlay the original bitstream is sent exactly as it is. There can be some onboard processing, particularly in say AirPods Pro, but crossfade, EQ, etc. get discarded.

Are you playing downloaded tracks via local speakers? If you're streaming or using AirPlay then crossfade might not be expected to work.

Do AirPods Pro (1rst gen) count? All my songs are downloaded but I’m using my AirPods as my output.
