Auto correct very bad

Why is auto correct/predictive text so very bad? I am using an iPhone 12 with iOS 16.2. In WhatsApp I just typed "Don't read" and on screen in the text line "Don't" was there and correctly spelt, and as I finished typing "read" both words changed to "Dinner ready" in the text line! I am forever going back over messages and removing nonsense like this before sending messages - if I see it in time!

If you have a suggestion for an improvement, you should contact Apple Feedback. You won't get an individual reply, but your message will have got to Apple. This is a user-to-user technical help forum. Posting on this site will not inform Apple of your problem/request.
