Why is my reminder app freezing and then coming up after a wait time on my iPhone 13 Pro… it comes up blank / white screen

I have an iPhone 13 Pro and used my reminders a lot. The app now comes up with a blank/ white screen when I open it. I swipe up and then I can see all my open screens. I can then see my reminders and can pick that screen. It stays frozen 1-2 minutes and then I can use my reminders app but it is slow. It is very frustrating and I have checked any settings I could find that affect it. Does anyone know a fix?

Hey kapplechrome,

If you haven't already, we recommend following the steps suggested in this Apple Support article:

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support

"Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.
Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.
Update the software on your iPhone.
Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed."

If you have Reminders enabled in iCloud, they will sync back to your iPhone when Reminders is reinstalled.
