Thanks for participating in Apple Support Communities. You mention paying the subscription from a different device. If that's right, did that device use the same Apple ID email address as the one that uses the subscription that didn't renew? You're not able to transfer subscriptions/purchases to a different Apple ID. If that's not the case, check to see if there's an alert about a billing problem.
