Just installed 16.3.1 on iPhone 14 3 days ago. My outlook emails are exploding with spam. What is happening and how do I stop this?

My girlfriend and I are experiencing exactly the same thing! Never had any issues before but now I’m easily getting about 20 spam mails a day which is insane.. The fact that we both didn’t do anything suspicious and I came across this post, tells me this actually might be related to the latest update.

It has nothing to do with the update. How could it? The spam is sent to your Outlook account; Apple’s software never touches it. If you use Apple Mail it just displays what is sent to it by Microsoft; if you use the Outlook app Apple software doesn’t touch it at all; it goes directly to the Outlook app database.

But there have been a lot of reports of Outlook users suddenly be deluged with spam, on all platforms, not just iPhones.

Haven’t done the update yet but wanted to mention my email over the last couple of days has been flooded with spam and phishing emails so the increase users are seeing may have nothing to do with the update.

It has nothing to do with the iOS version; it is just coincidence. About 60% of all email is spam.
