How does passkeys work on a base model m1 imac without a touch id keyboard?

Full utilization of passkeys has yet to be implemented. It may use Touch ID or Face ID or some other kind of biometric identity yet to be determined.

It likely doesn’t work. They need biometrics of some form, and I don’t think Apple has implemented facial recognition in Macs.
