Apple Mac book is frozen what do I do after shutting it down

Apple MacBook is frozen. I have shut it down . What do I do next?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.1

I thought I had turned it completely off before, but I had not. This time, I made sure it was completely off, and when it came back on, I was able to get into my regular Apple page!!! Thanks!!!!!!
