Manufacturing defect on iPhone 14 Pro Max?

Hello. I just bought the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 1h later the store (FNAC) in Portugal didn’t accepted the phone back. That's something that for me it's completely unacceptable for a phone like this. I noticed it when unfolding the "white paper" that the phone has protecting the screen, a spot totally different that seemed a bit rusty to me.

My question is, does it “interfere” or it will do something bad in the future to the iPhone's screen?
