How to Stop Apps from Opening at Startup on Mac in macOS Ventura

Hello,

Couple apps keep opining at start up even after I disabled them from the login items by going to:

System Settings ->  General - > Login Items. then click the minus to remove them from the list.

now my login items is empty but, there is couple apps keep open at start up.


my Os is Ventura 13.2.1


Any advice?

It supposed to work in normal circumstances. I found out what was my problem hope it will work for you too.. when you go to shutdown option there is a box that been checked says to continue from where you left, that will open what ever you’ve been working on before shutdown . I deselect it and it worked..

I have the same issue, and none of these fixes work. Every time I restart my computer, it takes several minutes until I can use it, because a bunch of useless programs are opening on startup.


on a PC, it super easy to manage startup items, and I can get a PC to start right up.


why is there no simple solution for a Mac? My Mac is slow as molasses
