My Apple music app always crashes when I start it

When I install Apple Music on Android it runs smoothly on the first run but whenever I start it after the first time, it just crashes without any report or error message. Can someone help me please?

Hi TheShaunSaw,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that the Music app unexpectedly quits on your Android device.

It sounds like you've already deleted the app and reinstalled it, correct?

You can also clear the Apple Music cache as outlined below:

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to Apps, then tap it.
  4. Tap Apple Music.
  5. Tap Storage, then tap Clear Cache.
  6. Return to the Home screen or the application list, and reopen Apple Music.

If you're still experiencing the same behavior after clearing cache, you can sign out of Apple Music, restart your device then sign in again.

  1. To sign out, you can open the Apple Music app.
  2. From the bottom of the screen, tap either Library, Listen Now, Browse, or Radio.
  3. Tap  .
  4. Tap Account Settings.
  5. From the bottom of the screen, tap Sign Out.
  6. Restart your device
  7. To sign in after restarting, you can open the Apple Music app.
  8. Tap  .
  9. Tap Settings.
  10. Tap Sign In.

If you need more help, we'd suggest that you reach out to Apple to investigate this further with you. You can find their contact details here: Contact Apple Support

Take care!
