iPhone stuck syncing on wifi...STILL

Like many many other posts, I am still having the same issue where my iPhone gets stuck while syncing on WiFi and am unable to eject it, stop it or even restart my Mac. Why is this still a problem?!

I'm on macOS Ventura (was hoping that would fix it). I have iPhone 14 Pro and am on iOS 16.2. This is extremely frustrating.

Mac mini, macOS 13.1

None of these resolve the problem.

My use case is: iPhone successfully connects via WiFi and begins sync process. Then iPhone leaves WiFi bubble (due to being in car and driving away) but macOS does not stop sync process. It will continue to run for up to many day. Both devices are running the most recent OS. iPhone shut down and restarts ok. Mac will not complete a restart cycle due to ‘sync in progress’ (even after c. up to a week). Eject device does not stop sync. ‘X’ button does not stop sync. Force shutdown of macOS only successful solution to stop sync process to-date.

Any other suggestions?
