I've tried to follow all of the other threads, but still the HomePod mini just stops playing music after 1 song (when sent from pandora on the iPhone to the HomePod ((air play)) or after it gets to a commercial (when played from the home app / or having Siri play a station). It's getting really old, and upsetting that Apple has not addressed this issue with updated.

Does this only happen when streaming from Pandora or are other apps having the same issue?

It has happen to me for a long time. I found the solution! It was CHANGING FROM APPLE MUSIC TO SPOTIFY. Spotify does not have any mistakes or failures with the HomePod mini, plus it gets better balance with some songs.
Doesn't work past commercials still. iPhone 14 pro Max 16.3.1, HomePod mini 16.3.2
Glad I did not purchase a second gen HomePod to go with my system. This is a big mess after the 16.4 update (NOT upgrade!).
The update to 16.4.1 appears to have addressed the problem of the mini stopping on its own. After the update, it has played flawlessly since yesterday's update.
