Apple watch ultra dead after diving

Ive recently gone down to 21M diving, watch was working well, then suddenly screen turn off and not responding.

once out of the water the watch is dead, ive tried charging it, force restart etc and nothing.

I have noticed that once its been charging for a while it gets warm but id say that happens also prior to diving.

I didnt tamper with it or hit it with anything..

any one have any ideas?

VERY light duty- just about 30 minutes floating around a lazy River in a community pool. Initially, it did fine. (I thought it was cool that it automatically showed the water temperature.) For most of that time, it wasn’t even under the water and, when it was, it was submerged only about a foot. (So, basically, conditions no worse that what an original Series 1 should’ve been able to handle.) About 30 minutes in, I noticed the screen was black. I wasn’t too worried at first, thinking maybe I hadn’t fully charged it the night before and the battery had simply run out. However, when I got home and placed it on the charger (that the watch came with) no lightning bolt symbol appeared— just a black screen. I left it on the charger for two hours: no change. I tried a one button and two button restart- nothing. I’m at a loss. I’ve got an appointment with the Genius Bar for tomorrow but I’m concerned that if this is indeed water damage, they may refuse to cover the repair. Which would be beyond frustrating for an $800 watch that’s advertised as dive capable.

Went for a swim in the sea. The first time i have got the Apple watch SE submerged in the few years that I have had it. Watch was dead after first ever submersion. Tried resetting it with no success. Charged overnight and still dead. Tried resetting by pressing side button and crown at the same time for 12 secs. Still dead

now my watch is dead after being briefly in the ocean. now what? My Apple Watch was in the ocean briefly and shut down. it's been two days and it is still dead. What do I do now?

Sounds like the seals have failed. On an more modest Watch it would not be guaranteed either but you may have luck with the Ultra if you can prove the depth.
