Can we downgrade the Apple Watch 4 from WatchOS 9 to 8 to pair with the old iPhone 6s+ ?

Upgraded Apple watch to WatchOS 9 using an external Iphone 11, but my iphone is is model 7 plus and do not pair with the watch. What can I do to downgrade the watchOS to 8.7 ? I Upgraded Apple watch series 4 Nike Edition to WatchOS 9 using an external Iphone 11, but my iphone is a model 7 plus and do not pair with the watch because it is NOT compatible with iOS 16...it has iOS 15.7. What can I do to downgrade the watchOS to 8.7 ?

You must have paired it to a newer iphone to get OS9 or the previous owner did.

Either sell it and get a series 3 or get an iphone 8 or later.

We could say isn't it great that Watch series 4 can run the latest OS to avoid obsolescence.
