Hey there Tillamook,

From the details you provided, it sounds like the 'Include attachments from original message' option near the top right of the Mail screen is greyed out when trying to craft a new email. If that's right, we also found that this option is greyed out when crafting a brand new email, so this may be expected behavior.

We'd like to rule out some general possible causes, along with confirming more details to better understand what's happening:

  1. Are you trying to reply to an email thread that has attachments included with it?
  2. If you've been able to use this feature in the past, when did this start?
  3. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out the section ‘Restart your Mac' here: Shut down or restart your Mac
  4. We see you're using macOS 13.2, but the latest version is macOS 13.2.1. You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update macOS on Mac.

Cheers!
