AirPods does not work with iTunes from the PC2023

I have a Windows 10 PC, and my NEW Airpods sync with my PC - but NOT with my itunes. I can hear sound on social media, listening to music using windows player - but NOT in itunes. This is a serious flaw that I've never seen a fix for. (seen 100's of users complain about this very thing).

Hi Applelackssupport999,


There are a couple of articles we'd like to share, because you should be able to use the AirPods with iTunes.


First, check to make sure iTunes is updated.


Next, check the speakers and see if you can change the output.


Reach back out if you still have trouble.

Thanks for replying and that additional info. If you haven't already, please reset your AirPods with the steps below and test your issue again:


  1. "Put your AirPods in their charging case and close the lid.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Open the lid of your charging case, and put your AirPods in your ears.
  4. Go to Settings > Bluetooth. Or go to Settings > [your AirPods].
    • If your AirPods appear there as connected, tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods, tap Forget This Device, then tap again to confirm.
    • If your AirPods don't appear there, continue to the next step. 
  1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and keep the lid open. 
  2. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.*
  3. AirPods charging cases

  4. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone or iPad. Follow the steps on your device's screen."

This did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! It's issues like these that I will NEVER get another iphone. (had 1 - returned it -and that's the end of it).

all I'm trying to do is listen to my itunes from my PC to my airpods and Apple's terrible, buggy products can't even do that!

I can listen to other apps with my airpods using my PC - but the 1 app that's actually created by Apple, which is itunes, can't even SYNC with their OWN PRODUCT!

I've searched discussions boards and this a KNOWN FLAW IN APPLE THAT HAS NO FIX!

Way to go! A $2.4 TRILLION DOLLAR COMPANY CAN'T EVEN SYNC THEIR OWN SOFTWARE WITH THEIR OWN AIRPODS!

I'll be buying some Samsung Galaxy ear pods to listen to my iTunes......
