I’m having an issue where downtime/screen time on both my children’s phones keeps randomly de-activating and returning to default. As I’m suspicious, I’ve changed the passcode a few times but it’s not making any difference. I’m concerned about it as apart from anything else it also turns all the age-appropriate content restrictions off which I am very unhappy about. Please can you advise?
Thanks for your reply. I'm setting the Screen time passcode for my daughter's devices, by using my device. That element seems to be working fine and I'm comfortable with how to set the restrictions. I don't think they are cracking the code and changing them as I've changed it several times and kept it secret! The issue seems to be that despite whatever settings I add to their downtime/restrictions the devices seem to "forget" the settings I've put in after a few days or even hours and default back to the default "off" settings.
It is not clear whether you are setting Screen Time Passcode for your device or your daughter's Screen Time Passcode through your device.
