I’ve just has an iOS warning that password has appeared in a data leak.
it’s repeated for all my passwords on the iPhone SE.
they are not all the same.
or either apple have been seriously breached. Or there a bug?
I saw this mentioned in 2022. Any ideas?

These are not Apple data leaks, they are data leaks from businesses that you have accounts with. And there were several hundred breaches from major corporations in the past year where customer data was stolen due to poor security on the part of the businesses. The most recent was 37 million accounts stolen from the credit bureau Experian, who sells data protection services. Appreciate the irony.

Apple has not been breached.
The password warning feature checks an online database to see if your account and password appears in it. If it does appear, it means your password and account were stolen in a previous data breach.
Change your passwords, don't use the same password for multiple sites.
