Apple TV 4K Sound Stopping

Sounds stops playing on Apple TV 4k. Sound plays fine but then when changing apps or being on the home screen for a while sound will not play on any video in any app. Navigation clicks sounds can be heard on home screen. Automatic previews and trailers will play sound while browsing in app menus (netflix, Apple tv+, etc) but when selecting a show or movie to watch sound does not play anymore. HDMI cable has been replaced. Only fix is to unplug device and wait several minutes before restarting. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated with this extremely frustrating issue.

If you haven't yet, go to Apple TV Settings > Video and Audio, and try setting the audio format to Stereo.

If the issue persists, providing additional details and context may increase the chance that you'll get a relevant and helpful response from the community.

For example, how is audio configured on your Apple TV? Do you expect to hear audio through the TV itself, through wireless speakers, or through speakers connected another way?
