Nikon Z9 files on mac

I cant quite believe I cannot download Z9 raw files onto my MBP ? Its not like its an old one ?

Please sort this out . Unless you do I'll end up having to use a PC ...

Nikon Z9 RAW files are supported on macOS 13.2 Ventura, but there is a caution. If you look at the list of RAW Support (Digital camera RAW formats supported by iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and macOS Ventura - Apple Support), you'll see a footnote "5. Lossless RAW format only". Have you set the camera to shoot in a lossless format?

I can't quite believe you think the hardware is what matters here. It's the software. What OS is that Mac running? You can manage and process lossless Raws from the z9 with OS Ventura, the current version. Of course there are third party apps that will also decode them, independent of the OS as well.

The 2 year old MBP running Ventura 13.2 does not even see the 128gig CF express card , even when I’ve run disc utility .

works fine with all other Nikons and Hasslblads

as you suggest , more likely software .

Thanks Leonie , that WAS helpful . Managed to download by tethering the camera , images show in 'Photo' but go dark when 'clicked' . Camera was set to raw but 'efficiency' , changed to lossless and can now open images . So just need to work out why MBP will not see the 128 gig card .. I have formatted it , once I can save the earlier images to something I'll format again to see if that helps .
