The last selected audio interface is not available. The previously selected interface "Scarlett 2i2 USB" will be used instead for this session.

Hi everyone!

I use a Scarlett 2i2 USB audio interface for all of my projects and have done for years. Recently (not sure exactly when) upon opening projects I get the message in the attached screenshot.

I obviously click 'OK' to use the Scarlett, but I'm wondering why Logic asks me this every time?

It happens with all of my projects - new and existing.

When I go to my Logic prefs, the Scarlett 2i2 is already selected 🤔

No, the brackets on the Output Device indicate the soundcard is not set but automatically chosen by Logic. Just select the Output Device manually.
