unable to add airpod to findmy network

airpod pro 2 2nd gen

iphone 7

ios 15.7.3

phone is in the findmy network

location services are on

pods are paired with this phone

I see no option to connect my airpods to the findmy network.

The airpods also are not listed on my devices list in icloud.

How do i enable the findmy features of these airpods?

I tried restarting the phone and also turning off findmy.

Oops … this is problematic.

As this article states, AirPods Pro 2nd generation requires iOS 16 or later.

Be certain you have done the following:

That is correct. Only devices signed into using your Apple ID appear there.
