Why can't I use Continuity Camera on Macbook while been connected via Hotspot on the same Iphone.

Why can't I use Continuity Camera on Macbook while been connected via Hotspot on the same Iphone. Is it something that by default doesn't work or i am missing something ? Thank you

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.


We understand that you can't use the Continuity Camera while Hotspot is enabled. In order to use this feature, make sure Wi-Fi, Bluetooth enabled and you're signed in with your Apple ID on both devices with two-factor authentication enabled.


Make sure that your devices have been restarted and you're running the latest software version for your Mac. This will ensure the latest performance fixes are installed.
