how do i erase my iphone xs if it won’t turn on?

If it won't turn on then it cannot be erased. You could erase it while connected to a computer but it would have to be powered on. You can also use the Find My app on another device or iCloud.com to erase it, but again the phone would have to be powered on and online in order to receive the erase request.
