I got an Iphone 14 pro max US variant ESIM not showing network

Hi All,

I bought an Iphone 14 pro max from US while I live in India, I have installed ESIM using JIO service Provider, It is installed successfully but it shows only No Service and under network selections it does not show Jio network.

Under General - > About I can see Network - Not Available for both the ESIM's

I have already tried reseting the network settings, Phone restart, Phone reset, Turn on this line (on / off), delete ESIM and install again. Connecting with Customer care from JIO nothing works.

My iOS version is 16.3 (20D47)

Network provider Lock - No SIM restrictions

Please help me out I am really stuck with this.

Thanks in advance.

Hello lakhan210,

If your eSIM isn't working, you can try these steps:

Go to Settings > General > About and look for any numbers under EID. If there are no numbers, you'll need to contact Apple for assistance: Get Support

After following each step below, open Control Center by swiping down from the upper-right corner of the screen. Check if your carrier appears in the status bar. If not, go to the next step.
1. Turn Airplane Mode on and off.
2. Go to Settings > Cellular and check if the number you're trying to activate is shown. If it is, turn off the line and then turn it back on again.
3. Restart your device or devices.

If the eSIM is still not working, you'll need to contact your wireless carrier for assistance.

If you can't set up an eSIM on your iPhone

Cheers!

It’s taken US carriers almost 5 years to get “up to speed” on eSIMs. (since introduction of the Xs and Xr)

I suspect your carrier is still climbing the learning curve.

There’re a HUGE number of “back-office” pieces which MUST all work together for eSIM provisioning to be successful.

Prepare yourself for frustrations until you get it working … but in the end ONLY your carrier can make it so.

Best of luck.

Thanks for your reply, I do travel to multiple countries so I am not sure how many phones I can keep for each country. Last year I was in US so i purchased this. Right now I am in India for 3-4 months post that I will be moving to Singapore, So it is really not possible to keep phone for each country. I will try to catch up with Service Provider or will change the service Provider. Thanks.

Your phone can store up to 8 eSIM activations. Any 2 of them can be used at the same time, so as long as you sign up with carriers in each country that support eSIM you can switch between them easily.
