Family members not getting Home invites

I "upgraded" the Home architecture when 16.2 came out before Apple pulled it. At that point my Home was practically unusable. Siri failed at most basic tasks telling me I didn't have certain scenes that were obviously there. Telling me that x, y, and z devices weren't responding, etc. So deleted my Home and set up a new one -- and added ALL my devices again. After that things starting working again! Yay! Except, my wife no longer sees any of the devices. Ok, so I will invite her to control the Home. Nope. She never gets the invites. So I decide to see if I can invite my mother-in-law to access the home. And she never gets the invite either. How can my wife gain access to the Home I have set up without her having to also add all of the devices herself?
