Continuity scan - "Device not connected"

Tried to use continuity scan from my phone to notes on my mac, but it says, "device not connected". Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?

iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021, 2 ports)

You're receiving that the device was disconnected, so we recommend ensuring your device meets system requirements and additional requirements: Continuity Camera: Use your iPhone or iPad to scan documents or take a picture on your Mac - Apple Support


Specifically, "Continuity Camera system requirements".


Also, please note that when using Continuity features, your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must be enabled on both devices.
