I am trying to copy photos from the photos app on my MacBook to another folder or my dropbox however it keeps telling me unknown error 1000 no matter how I try to copy them across?

Apple Photos Cocoa Error -1 when trying to export photos I currently am running Mac OS Monterey on my MacBook pro. I recently restored an old photos library from my TimeMachine backup. I was thrilled to have my photos back. However when I try to export or share certain photos I get the error code saying the operation could not be completed with an error code of cocoa error -1. When i click the show in finder button nothing happens - it doesn’t take me anywhere. These photos are not backed up to the iCloud. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Error code -36 when copying a photos library Hi, I am trying to copy my photos library from an external HD to another external HD using my mac (OS ventura 13.1). After 2 hours of copying, it stops and sends this window message: The Finder can't complete the operation because some data in "photos Library.photolibrary" can't be read or written. (Error code -36). Somebody knows already how to solve this kind of error. I've tried many methods described in different websites, but it's still the same error coming out!! PS. Both hard drives are formatted APFS. The photoslibrary size is about 440 GB and the message shows after 290 GB of copying.. Thanks in advance!

Are you using iCloud Photos?

If yes, try to copy the photos to your Mac as described in this article:

Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud - Apple Support

After that copy the photos from your Mac to your other location.
