unknown error 1000
I am trying to copy photos from the photos app on my MacBook to another folder or my dropbox however it keeps telling me unknown error 1000 no matter how I try to copy them across?

Are you using iCloud Photos?
If yes, try to copy the photos to your Mac as described in this article:
Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud - Apple Support
After that copy the photos from your Mac to your other location.
