iPad Pro not reading usb thumb drive after iOS 16.3 update

I have a iPad Pro 2020 model, after updating to iOS 16.2 Apple Files App stopped recognising my usb thumb drive. After the install I did a hard restart.

I waited and updated to iOS 16.3 with the hope it would be fixed but this has not been the case

another hard reset was done after this update too.
