Blurry Font on 4k @ 144 Hz monitor (Gigabyte M32U) since upgrading to Ventura 13.2

Hello,

I use a 14" 2021 MacBook Pro (M1 Max) as my workstation. It's connected via a Thunderbolt 4 docking station (CalDigit TS4) to a Gigabyte M32U (3840x2160 @ 144 Hz).

Since upgrading from macOS 12 Monterey to macOS 13.2 Ventura, all fonts on the Gigabyte M32U monitor are slightly blurry.

This is a picture of text in iTerm2 on the Gigabyte M32U (open in a new tab for the full image):

Notice the difference in the clarity of the font.

The monitor is setup to use a hi-dpi resolution:

I've also tried setting the following:

defaults write -g CGFontRenderingFontSmoothingDisabled -bool NO
defaults -currentHost write -g AppleFontSmoothing -int 0

Neither has produced the desired result.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

Hello,

i have almost the same problem.

I use a Mac mini with Mac OS Ventura 13.2 with a 24" FullHD monitor. Font antialiasing is obviously active. This can be seen from the fact that the letters are not only rendered with the font color, but that gray pixels are also added.

The terminal command

defaults -currentHost write -g AppleFontSmoothing -int 0

doesn't take an effect.

I also tried "TinkerTool" to deactivate the font antialiasing. But without success.
