QR codes and Privacy:
One thing to bear in mind is when and when you scan a QR Code them. Scanning once at a retailer, they'd know who you are (as a phone number), and were you what store you were at when you scanned it. So, when getting spam eMails or promotions of sorts, that is one reason why so many get spam. All a pure reason as to why to avoid using them.
