Atom.app suddenly getting a malware warning from MacOS Monterey

After the last update, my coding editor Atom is getting a warning when it opens:

There's not enough information for me to determine if this is a sudden false positive

for some sort of malware signature, or if it has to do with it not

being from the App store (it is an open source product) or because it has been end -of-lifed.

Does anyone have more info about Atom being called malware now?
