So as the title says, when my HomePod is plugged in I cant mirror iPhone screen to AppleTV. Which is really weird because one of the reasons I bought AppleTV is to mirror my iPhone screen when showing my friends some pictures. When I unplug HomePod mini screen mirroring starts to work immediately. Is there any way I can make it work with both devices connected?

Yeah, I tried reseting every device, I checked if they're all connected to the same network since I got 5GHz and 2.4GHz, but all devices are on 2.4GHz wifi. And yes, AirPlay is enabled on all devices. Whats confusing me additionaly is that mirroring works perfectly when I unplug the HomePod Mini. Not sure what to do next?
Sorry, forgot to mention. HomePod is Mini that is updated to the latest release just like Apple TV and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apple TV is 2022 64 GB model without Ethernet port. And yes, HomePod is set as default audio device, tried switching Apple TV to use TV speakers as default but the problem persisted. :/
Thanks for clarifying , did you try restarting all 3 devices? The HomePods, ATV and the iPhone you’re using to Mirror from?
Everything on the same wifi network? Same Apple ID on all?
Test other files.
Look in iPhone settings that you’re enabling AirPlay to TVs in Settings>General>Airplay & Handoff
If your television set has chromecast built in , can you do it by choosing tv?
I tested a photo on mine with ATV 4K 2021 connected to Gen 2 HomePods and it works
I can’t think of why this would happen either. Except try rebooting the wifi router and/or resetting network settings in iPhone : In Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Join wifi again after it restarts.
EDIT: Is your Apple TV showing in the Home App? Do you have AirPlay enabled on the Apple TV?
Is the Mini on OS 16.3?

Do you have the HomePod set as default audio, if so what happens if you switch back to tv speakers?
Haven't tought of that, will try reseting network settings tomorrow to see if that helps. Thanks, I'll let you know.
