I am tired of HomeKit turning on all my lights at 2 AM or randomly blasting music from my HomePod mini that no one requested. How can I COMPLETELY remove HomeKit from my apple devices?
So I was just watching "Shrinking" ep 3 on APPLE TV and when Jason Segal says "Hey SIRI, play blah blah blah". MY HOMEPOD started playing the music! This seems very dangerous. How can I prevent this from happening again?
Thanks, I figured out how to turn off SIRI on everything and I have deleted all of my accessories and unplugged my HomePod mini permanently. Is there anyway to remove it from APPLE TV (HARDWARE) or should I just put that in the closet too?
You cannot remove HomeKit as the framework is built in. But, you can ensure that your settings, and actions do not run when you expect them not to do so.
HomeKit is part of the operating system. It cannot be removed. The same is true of Siri.
