highlight a hyperlink text in preview app

Problem 1:

If you're familiar with Wikipedia documents, printed as PDFs, they're full of hyperlinks that will open another document in safari. When reading these documents you may want to highlight/underline texts but as soon as you try to select them you're prompted to open the hyperlink in safari.

I can delete the hyperlink by opening the inspector, which I don't want to do. Holding command or control while selecting text is not helping either

Problem 2:

If you highlight a text it masks the hyperlink so to get it back I have to remove highlight/underline

I am going to report this as feedback to Apple but is there a solution that I am not aware of
