Screen Time issues!

Every day I have to go on screen time to turn it on daily for my kids. Daily it keeps resetting everything in screen time. I’ve already turned it off on my side since I’m the account manager. It also is buggy and no I’m not on the betas. Need help!

Hello Eagles-123 ,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities.

Please be sure that you have Screen Time enabled for your family following the instructions in the following Apple Support articles:

You’ll want to be sure that each child is a member of your Family Sharing group and that they each have their own Apple ID: Set up a device for a child with Family Sharing on iPhone

If you already have things set up following the articles above, please contact Apple Support directly for more help.

All the best!

I've been having this happen to all of my kids screen time settings for the last year plus! It seems to happen whenever there is an update, either about to be released or just after its released. Installing the update does not fix it. I have to keep going in and correcting it until it "sticks" again. Its also interesting because I have 3 kids with different screen time settings and the "reset" effects each one differently.

I have this issue, too. I have to reset all parental controls with every single update. Not all devices need to update to trigger the reset of everything - just my own phone updating triggers a reset across all my kids' devices. The thing is, I have updates on automatic. So when there is an update I don't always know. My kids get access to everything, including adult websites! It is so annoying. As I have parental controls set to only allow certain websites, I have to re-add all the websites they're allowed to browse. For my older child it was in the hundreds. It's so frustrating! Every single parental control gets re-set. This is a huge issue that Apple needs to fix NOW. I'm so tired of of it. I'm so tired of reading - reset your phone, or don't give your kids the password. It has nothing to do with that! It is triggered by Apple updates. Spending hours again this morning resetting everything for my kids, and I'm beyond frustrated with Apple for not fixing this yet.
