Why is the Mac Studio not available for trade-in

Due to life change I was looking to trade-in my desktop Mac Studio for a MacBook Pro. However the Mac Studio isn't available for a trade-in option and it's less than a year old. I was just curious what that is?

Apple doesn't take trade-ins for a current model. Sell it to someone else.
