MacBook OSX12.6.3 very slow : the launched always says "Loading Applications"

To permit the MacBook Pro to load applications correctly I need to use CMD R to execute disk first aid on the HD disk, boot in safe mode and as this does not work first time, I need to repeat this exercise. If I do not do this, applications often de not start from the dock.

When I have succeeded in this exercise, I can click on the launchpad in the dock and all the applications will start.

In the SAFE MODE the launchpad is immediately present and all applications are visible.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a MacBook Pro Touch 2017. 16GB 2133MHz, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 card.

Thanks. Kevin

SafeBoot —This test will tell you if third party interference; extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

To trouble shoot further you can:

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS
