Macbook Pro M1 Pro 16" USB C Ejects external drives randomly

Running Ventura on an M1 pro MacBook Pro 16, the USB C ports randomly ejects externally connected HDD's.

Tried different cables, adapters, and external drives. Still happens. It finally quit altogether, not powering or reading any disks at all.

Happens all the time if I use Parallel Desktop and try to access the virtual machines on the drive

Shutdown and ran hardware Self Diagnosis. Thunderbolt ports reported fine.

So the only conclusion is this is a software issue, either OS or ROM.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, any solutions available? It also disconnects when running a Time Machine backup. This never happened on my Intel Mac.
