Not receiving photos in group messages

I'm in a group chat that includes an Android user. Sometimes I don't get photos sent be others in the group, from iPhone users and Android users alike. All the other iPhone users say they are receiving the photos. Is there a setting on my device that might be the cause of this?

MMS messaging is required to receive these photos.

MMS requires both the following:

Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging = "on"
Permission from your cellular carrier to use MMS under your plan. This may cost extra.
