Siri Acknowledgments after command

Hi,

It used to be Siri will repeat back to me what she has done, now I just get like a dong from the HomePod when finished.

So what I mean is;

Lets turn off Kitchen Lamp.

The why it used to be is - "Hey Siri, Turn off Kitchen lamp". The lamp would then turn off, and then Siri would say "The kitchen lamp is off"

Now it goes like this - "Hey Siri, Turn off Kitchen lamp". The lamp would then turn off, and then the home pod does a dong. No Siri speaking back to me.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Not happy with this change. Although, one of my scenes does acknowledge it verbally, e.g. scene with all lights out with a "Hey Siri, good night" and the reply "The scene is set, Good Night!"

But yes, the "dong" is unwelcome change.

Apple is too arrogant now to offer options. Once you are used to a useful feature, they change it. Give us the option to keep, to silence, or tone.

You can still send feedback. They pay attention when they receive it from quite a few people.I know what you mean though about getting used to features. I sent feedback about them switching how you turn off alarms on Apple watch. I’m sure others might have as well. The following update it still wasn’t addressed, now it has been on the most recent update, still not to my liking but better. What I wish they would do is list this is what this update removed , instead of this is what it now does.
