move contacts from gmail to icloud

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand you'd like to move your contacts from Gmail to iCloud. Here are the steps:

1. Go to https://contacts.google.com/ and sign in.

2. In the sidebar click 'Export'. In the pop-up choose 'All contacts' and 'vCard' and click 'Export'. Save it when prompted, and it will go to your Downloads location.

3. Go to https://www.icloud.com/contacts/

4. Click the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Import vCard'. Navigate to the file you exported from Google.
