If your OtterBox case is MagSafe compatible, then yes it will work with MagSafe devices. OtterBox does a decent job of describing their products to inform the buyers about their MagSafe products. For example, their cases have “Otterbox with MagSafe” in description.

No. Not unless the otterbox case you have was designed to be MagSafe compatible. I don't know if otter box makes such a thing.

EDIT: I see Otterbox does offer magSafe compatible cases. If you have one of those, then the answer is yes, otherwise, no.
